zipaddress

questions and answers

Is ZipAddress CASS certified?

ZipAddress is merely a provider of data - it is not a cleaning engine in itself - therefore cannot be CASS certified. It provides Zip+4 data not only through its powerful front-end, but as an equally powerful API for programmers working in everyday applications like Access and programming languages like C/C++, Delphi & Visual Basic.

The way you use it to clean address lists, and whether CASS certification is appropriate, is up to the programmer.

What are the System Requirements for ZipAddress?

ZipAddress requires Windows 95 or Windows NT, with a minimum of 8Mb RAM (Windows 95) or 16Mb RAM (Windows NT) - though we recommend double these minima.

ZipAddress is supplied on one CD-Rom covering the whole USA. The ZipAddress search engine is so fast that you can easily use it from the CD-Rom - in which case, about 5Mb hard disk space is required for installation. Installing the whole ZipAddress data onto a hard (fixed) disk drive requires about 500Mb.

Can I use ZipAddress on a Network?

ZipAddress can be installed and used across a LAN - or even a WAN. Remember though, that the ZipAddress License agreement requires you to have a license for each computer that will access ZipAddress. Network license packs are available - and for larger organizations, company licenses allow unlimited use within one company or organisation.

Can I Interface other Applications with ZipAddress?

Yes - this is a fundamental strength of the ZipAddress design. At shipping, you can access ZipAddress data via simple DLL function calls or via DDE - or ZipAddress can easily pass data to your applications in Insert mode - with a powerful keystroke macro language - and via the Windows clipboard.

Do you supply sample source code?

Yes - We supply full API information and sample source code for Visual Basic, Access, Delphi and C. Others will follow as they become available.
